Accelerated Resolution Therapy

A gentle, effective approach to healing

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that helps people process trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences in a way that is often faster and less overwhelming than traditional talk therapy.

What is ART?

ART helps the brain change how distressing memories are stored.

Through guided eye movements and imagery, ART allows you to replace upsetting images connected to past experiences with new, more neutral or positive ones — while keeping the facts of what happened intact.

Many people notice a reduction in:

  • Emotional intensity

  • Physical stress responses

  • Triggers, intrusive thoughts, or nightmares

ART has been shown to be effective in treating:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Depression

  • Grief and loss

  • Other stress-related concerns

Is ART a good fit for you?

ART may be helpful if you:

  • Feel stuck despite previous therapy

  • Want to process difficult experiences without re-living them

  • Prefer a focused, goal-oriented approach

  • Are struggling with trauma, anxiety, grief, or ongoing stress

ART can be used on its own or integrated into ongoing therapy, depending on your needs. If you’re curious about Accelerated Resolution Therapy and wondering whether it might be a good fit for you, I’d be happy to talk.
